Why did he choose me?
Just why God he choose me?
What is so special about me?
Is it the way i speak, is it how i write, or is it the way i act.
You see, when i look at me, myself in the mirror i just see me.
But to everybody else they see a daughter, auntie, sister, poet, somebody they can talk to and listen to their problems.
Why did he choose me to go what i went through and is still going through now.
I done been through some stuff that broke me down, and some stuff that built me up.
I had to cut some friends but turned around and gained some new ones.
You see every day for me is a constant struggle
As Langston Hughes said "Life for me ain't been no crystal stair".
I won't meet my future until it meets me.
But until then i will ask this very question,
WHY ME?
Just why God he choose me?
What is so special about me?
Is it the way i speak, is it how i write, or is it the way i act.
You see, when i look at me, myself in the mirror i just see me.

When I See You
ReplyDeleteWhen I see you
I see strength beyond what can be visibly shown
A strength so strong Solomon quivers at the sight of you
Strength so profound
The strongest men are highly intimidated
Strength so unlimited
Jesus becomes jealous by the thought of you
When I see you
I see love stronger then a mother’s for her child
Love so over whelming
God has to monitor how much you can dish out
Just the mere stitch of your love
Could leave the entire world drunk
Without it would leave them with a spiritual and fleshly hangover
When I see you
I see beauty
A beauty so radiant the sunshine hides behind the clouds
Beauty so exquisite
A full moon only comes a certain time a month
Beauty so splendid
Sunsets sitting on the water only happened in the summer months
A beauty so magnificent
It regulates nature
When I see you
I see God in your eyes
I see God’s patient
I see God’s heart
I see God’s resilience
I see God’s maturity
I see God showing you that you’re a woman beyond your years
When I see you
I see God
